Attributes:
Eros is the god of love, passion, desire, and beauty. He is also the god of procreation, and loyal and devoted friendship of men. The special powers of Eros include those of his magical arrows; these arrows are either made of gold and induce love, or made of lead and induce hate.
Realm:
Eros lives on Mount Olympus with most of the other gods.
Physical Characteristics
In some versions of Greek and Roman mythology, Eros is depicted as a beautiful, small boy with wings and a bow and arrow, similar to a cherub. In other myths, Eros is decribed as a similarly beautiful young man with wings. Figures of Eros may also be depicted in groups of three (called Erotes) which show the different forms of love. When in the form of Erotes, the Erotes include Eros, Himeros (Desire), and Pothos (Yearning).
